Profile of Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Statistics Department

Mrs. Uche Helen Nzeh, MBA, FCNA, CCrFA, FCCSA(USA), ACTI is the Deputy Director of Department, Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) and Deputy Director (Finance and Accounts) at the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC), Abuja. She is a seasoned finance and public administration professional with over 25 years of distinguished service at the Commission.

She possesses extensive expertise in Payroll Management, Tax Management, Budget Preparation, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Compliance. Mrs. Nzeh is known for her strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and operational excellence. Her exceptional contributions have been recognized through various accolades, including a Certificate of Commendation in 2013, an accelerated promotion to Deputy Director in 2021, and Awards of Excellence from Mbaise Girls High School (2022) and Betterways Consulting Academy (2025).

She holds an HND in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), and is currently pursuing an MSc in Business Administration at the National Open University of Nigeria.

Mrs. Nzeh is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified System Accountants (FCCSA, USA), a Certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Investigative Professionals of Nigeria (CCrFA), and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI).

She has published several articles, including "Digital Taxation and Financial Transparency: A Path to Sustainable Economic Growth" (Sundiatapost, 6th June 2026), "Digital Economy Taxation in Nigeria: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Reforms" (The Sun Newspaper, Sunday 13 July 2025, Page 29), and "The Role of Digital Taxation in Modern Economies: A Comparative Study of Nigeria and the United States" (available on SSRN).

About the Planning, Research and Statistics Department

The Department of Planning, Research and Statistics serves as the strategic hub for data-driven decision-making, policy formulation, and operational efficiency within the Federal Judicial Service Commission. The core functions of the Department include: coordinating corporate and strategic planning, policy development, and programme implementation; conducting research on judicial administration, human resource management, and service delivery; collecting, analyzing, and managing statistical data on judicial activities, personnel, and budget performance; preparing and monitoring annual budgets, work plans, and performance evaluations; and overseeing information management systems to promote transparency and improved service delivery.
