The esteemed Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Yuguda was born on March 13th, 1937. He was born in Gombe, Gombe State and attended Dukku Elementary School. From there he moved on to Gombe Senior Primary School and then later attended Teachers College. After graduating in 1954, he took some time away from educational pursuits, but eventually returned to attend Clerical School, Potiskum.
Yuguda’s higher education got started with finance and government related classes, and then he moved on to Ahmadu Bello University in 1970. He graduated in 1971 after working hard to earn his Certificate in Administrative Management Training.
While attending school, Yuguda also busied himself with a busy work history that started at the Local Authority, Gombe. He labored as an Accountant, and then held other Accounting positions afterward. Yuguda began working as an Admin. Officer in 1971 at the North Eastern State Administration, Dikwa, and continued to advance his career at a rapid pace.
In 1976 Yuguda accepted a position with the Gombe Local Government, and then moved on to work at the Savannah Sugar Company as Controller. Finally he went to the Upper Benue Development Authority where he worked till 1993,as the Principal Resettlement Officer. He has had a long and intriguing career that has met with much success and prestige, and continues to be a leader in his industry.
On top of his scholarly and work related pursuits, Yuguda also serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Gombe State Development Fund. In the past he has been a member of the Board of Governors (Ahmed Rufai College of Legal & Islamic studies Misau- Bauchi), Board of Directors (Bauchi State Housing Authority) and the Federal Judicial Service Commission, which he served from 2001 – 2006. He has also been Chairman of several educational committees and served as a member of the Hospital Community Relation Committee.
