The Nigerian Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Nigeria is located in Abuja, and serves as the apex judiciary body in the land.  All the laws it creates must be observed and adhered to by every other court in Nigeria. It has original jurisdiction over any dispute between the federation and a state, or between more than one state, as well as appellate jurisdiction to hear and determine the outcome in any case from the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court consists of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and a number of Justices of the Supreme Court, not exceeding twenty one, that has been determined by an act of the National Assembly. Five justices are generally deemed the minimum that are sufficient to hear any case except one which involves interpreting the constitution or determining original jurisdiction.
